Map of Traces unfolds as a tender letter, exploring the landscapes of Hong Kong and the subtle traces left by its people. Through the memories of those who departed, stayed, or wandered, the film quietly observes the rhythm of the city: a delicate interplay between change and stillness, revealing a mosaic of fleeting moments and intimate connections.

Director’s Statement
近年的香港，風景變得陌生。有人離開，有人留下，有人停在中途，不知道該往哪裡去。街道依舊是那些街道，但每一處細小的痕跡都在慢慢消退。看似無關緊要，卻像某種暗號，成為彼此的坐標。
影片關於一段未完的對話，一個無人佔據的位置，一座輪廓逐漸模糊的山嶺，和一個城市未被遺忘的記憶。
In recent years, the landscape of Hong Kong has grown unfamiliar. Some have left, some have stayed, and some are stuck in between, unsure of where to go. The streets are still the same streets, yet every small trace is gradually fading away. They may seem insignificant, but they feel like secret codes, connecting us to one another.
The film is about an unfinished conversation, an unoccupied seat, a mountain ridge whose outline is slowly blurring, and the memory of a city yet to be forgotten.

Biography
陳巧真現居香港，其創作深受日常經驗啟發，透過影像探索人與空間之間的微妙連結。她的作品曾於多個畫廊及影展展出，包括多倫多國際電影節、台灣國際紀錄片影展、日本映像論壇影展，以及香港的 WMA Space 和 Empty Gallery。
Chan Hau Chun is a Hong Kong-based artist whose work is inspired by poetic minimalism and everyday imagery, focusing on the intersection of personal and collective narratives. Her films have been showcased at international festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival, Golden Horse Awards, Taiwan International Documentary Festival, Image Forum Festival, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, and Hong Kong’s WMA Space and Empty Gallery.
